The Pi Network is encountering significant challenges during its mainnet migration, which began on June 28, 2025. Technical issues including KYC verification delays, 2FA failures, and wallet balance discrepancies have undermined investor confidence. These operational setbacks have caused the PI coin to drop 4-5% in early June, with prices now hovering between $0.60 and $0.64—a dramatic 78% decline from its January peak.
Despite the May 2025 Horizon Upgrade, which introduced over 100 dApp integrations, the network's transition to full DeFi functionality has revealed vulnerabilities. The project, initially praised for its mobile-friendly approach to crypto mining, now faces a critical test of its infrastructure and user trust.
